RTW question

A quick question:

Here is a RTW itinerary

LON-DEL-SYD-NRT-LAX-LON

Is the DEL-SYD-NRT invalid as you are backtracking INDIA-ASIA-AUSTRALIA-ASIA?

In other words, do I have to go DEL-NRT-SYD-LAX?

Thanks!!

Yes, you would be backtracking, because you're doing Asia twice. Options would be:
- LON-DEL-(HKG)-NRT-SYD-LAX-LON
- LON-NRT-(HKG)-DEL-(HKG)-SYD-LAX-LON
