Unfortunately, due to BA's flight schedule, I only have two full days on the ground for touring.</font>

And that segment must be an international long haul segment.

But there's nothing standing between an imaginary itinerary that does include an AA long-haul, and the one you really want to fly, beyond a $75 change fee. As long as it's not the first segment, of course.

I have never had such a rude and unfriendly call with an airline ! ! !
result was : Superviser sayed : They wont issue oneworlds ex CAI , and they also wont give a quotation of an already reserved item ! No discussions ! I should call an other airline !

Am planning RTW trip with girlfriend from the UK later this year.
If ex-CAI prices had remained as before I would have paid BA 4200 for a couple of DONE4s and 600 ish for a couple of cheap returns LHR-CAI. Total revenue = 4800.
Since I'm not fussed about travelling economy (on a backpacking trip anyway), we will now buy a couple of MONE4s from London. Revenue to BA about 2600 instead.
I predict a very quiet year for the BA ticket office in CAI....

A: Ticket?
Repeat question more slowly, three times
A: Ticket, yes.
Q: Shall I fax you the itin?
A: Fax number is... [greeted with recorded announcement that line is no longer in service - not unusual in Egypyt]
Gave up in the end. What I have gleaned separately though is that it's not a CX office as such, just a reprsentative office.
Perhaps if you or someone you know speaks Arabic, your discussion may be more productive.

I just had 2 RTW tickets issued at Emeco/AA Cairo. The gentleman was very helpful, and I left Cairo 8 January without a hitch on the first ticket. Prices were "pre-price increase".
I can not speak to the proposed price increase. I used a great travel agent who sometimes posts here who was wonderful. I can email you his email address "with his permission". There may be a delay as I am in BKK, have spotty internet access, etc.
