Transiting at CAI and VISA requirements..HELP
I will be arriving on BA 155 at 10:55 PM and leaving for FRA on a LH at 2:30 AM. I only have 3 and one half hours...How do I do the transit at CAI airport and do I need to purchase a visa... I do not want to leave the airport. Thanks to all for your advice

A search would have revealed that many FT'ers including myself have experienced that you pay $15 at one of the 3 money changers for 2 stamps. Put them in your passport and join the queue. About 10-15 minutes total when I flew BA last Oct.

Can you get your boarding pass for the second flight before arriving in Cairo? If so, you might be able to remain plane-side of immigration and therefore not have to bother with the visa. However there is nothing to do there and no shops nor lounges are open at that time of day. It's a miserable airport to hang around.
