How about this itinerary
Dear FT,
First, a note to indicate that this site has been tremendously helpful over the last few years in squeezing value from my crazy travel schedule. Now, I'm not a newbie on DONE and AONE, but this is the first time I try the following itinerary. How does this look? I have a nagging feeling that the intra NA segments are no go, but would like to hear opinions. The other pieces I'm sure are doable...
BOS-GDL-BOS-DCA-BOS-JFK-HKG-DEL-HKG-NRT-HKG-LHR-BOS (or the other way, BOS-GDL-BOS-DCA-BOS-LHR-HKG-DEL-HKG-NRT-HKG-JFK-BOS
Thanks...

2. Why use a AONE or DONE to do BOS-DCA-BOS? Seems like a waste of money (in my opinion).
3. Why no segements in Europe? A quick run to DXB would acrue an additional 6000+ miles r/t.

1. You have too many segements in NA. I count 7. BOS-(DFW)-GDL will count as 2 segements.

As for intra-Europe segments, I'm doing this for work, so no time to dilly-dally.
Why the BOS-DCA-BOS on an RTW is because I'm buying them open, so I can use them within a certain time window with some flexibility. A fully-refundable full-flexibility BOS-DCA-BOS runs about $700 USD (an absolute infernal ripoff, in my opinion), so I think of this as quite good value for money.
The reason this is going to be an AONE/DONE is because of the CX long-haul legs I'm gonna ride in, so I get the BOS-DCA-BOS for "free". Also, the HKG-DEL-HKG leg on an AONE is a waste, since that sector doesn't run F, but that's OK, because that is more than made up for riding CX in F for the long-hauls.

Thanks, this helps. So, if I do the BOS-DFW-GDL-DFW-BOS-DCA-BOS-LHR (i.e. start via the Atlantic, only 6 NA segments) that should be OK?

No. You still have a JFK-BOS segment at the end of the trip. You'll need to drop that and take the shuttle home.</font>

Aha! That polishes it, then. If I read/recall correctly, I can open-jaw a RTW as long as the city of ending is in the same continent as the start, right?

Pickles,
You cannot return to your point of origin (BOS) until the end of your trip. In addition while you may have 2 arrival/departures into the USA/Canada one of the arrivals/departures must be a transit without stop. So visiting GDL is out unless you connect straight to LHR.
You also are only allowed 2 stops total in your continent of origin and i think you break that rule also.

Been doing some thinking/reading on this and it appears that I can only leave the country of origin once, and enter the country of origin once. That means that a trip BOS-DFW-GDL-DFW-BOS is out of the question, unless I flew GDL-DFW-LHR. Is that correct?
