So you wouldn't fancy my upcoming:
HKG-JFK-YVR-DFW-ANC-DFW-ORD-LAX-LHR-CAI-LHR-HEL
all on the next available flight? (Takes just over 100 hours in total - I get one night (well about 5 hours) in a bed in CAI)

Due to a change in schedule, I have modified my itinerary:
28-Jun bkk-hkg cx700
28-Jun hkg-bom cx751
1-Jul bom-lhr ba138
1-Jul lhr-dxb ba107
4-Jul dxb-lhr ba106
4-Jul lhr-lin ba570
13-Jul lin-lhr ba569
15-Jul lhr-lax aa137
16-Jul lax-iad aa76
19-Jul dca-dfw aa2245
19-Jul dfw-sju aa1894
19-Jul sju-jfk aa1218
20-Jul jfk-syd qf108
23-Jul syd-per qf565
23-Jul per-mel qf802
23-Jul mel-akl qf39
24-Jul akl-hkg cx108
21-Nov hkg-del cx753
25-Nov del-hkg cx752
25-Nov hkg-bkk cx703
I made the booking with the incompetent BA RTW desk through the US number:
-The agent mentioned that the desk is open 24 hours but when I call outside of 9AM-8PM I get a recorded message saying it is closed.
-First agent said I cannot do BOM-LHR-DXB since I am backtracking to my continent of origin
-It has been four days since I booked this, but their rate desk has not yet confirmed it.
I subsequently noticed that the itinerary has 3 stopovers in the country of origin. Perhaps this is what is causing the delay in approval? Is the two stopover rule requirement there from any continent of origin? The only rules I have are for travel originating in the UK and Ireland (www.tarom.net/ba/explorer).

You have 5 sectors in Asia (bkk-hkg-bom; hkg-del-hkg-bkk). Only 4 are allowed in Asia, and you may not purchase extra segments in the continent of origin. So the itinerary is illegal for that reason also. You can only stopover twice in Asia, but you will have to change this routing anyway.
Presumably you aren't doing anything in hkg on 28 Jun, so simply going bkk-bom as your first sector meets the 4 segment limit, but you still can't stopover in bom, hkg and del.

25-Jul hkg-sin cx711
25-Jul sin-bkk ay98
I had to scrap the Delhi trip as it violated the two stopover rule. As a second choice, I would have liked to do bkk-bom and then hkg-dps-hkg-bkk (MR) as my four Asia segments. However, CX has scrapped the late evening flight on the hkg-bkk route, so I would have to stay overnight in hkg on my return from dps. Not worth a hotel night for the extra 1,000 miles.

BA said they would accept the MCO. However, they said I have to ticket directly with them (at the fare of THB 192,000 versus 186,000 available from TAs) even though the MCO states that it can be used through a TA. I hope that the first segment being on CX isn't an issue when BA ticketing in BKK sees the itinerary.

If the bit at the end is a pure mileage run, why don't you do hkg-cmb-bkk to finish since that is a load more miles than hkg-sin-bkk? The only problem is you'd have to leave hkg on the 24th or the 26th since it is not every day.

I need to be back in BKK for the weekend of July 26. I have July 25 to do two or three segments but I could not find anything that lets me do a round trip from HKG and gets me back in time to make the last flight (645PM) from HKG-BKK.

CX2052 HKG-KIX departs 03:00 arrives 07:30
(saves you the cost of a hotel in HKG that night)
CX565 KIX-HKG departs 11:15 arrives 16:00
Is probably your best mileage run that day, but it is slightly less overall than your last proposal.
You would have more flexibility if you took CX118 on 24 July so you get in at 15:15 which would let you do a run to CMB...
Start with:
28-Jun bkk-bom cx751
...
24-Jul akl-hkg cx118
24-Jul hkg-cmb cx703
25-Jul cmb-hkg cx700
25-Jul hkg-bkk cx703
That's 55204 miles vs 53437 for your last.

I just called BA RTW and they said that the reservation had been cancelled since it was supposed to have been ticketed by yesterday. Apparently when I called yesterday to make changes to the itinerary, the agent sent the itin to the rate desk but did not adjust the grace period for purchase. Anyway, we recreated the entire itin but lhr-lax was no longer available. So instead of lhr-lax-mia-dca, I now have lgw-dfw-sju-iad- it is only 211 miles less so no problem. Of course, all the seat assignments for twenty segments have gone.
christep, I will be getting in to AKL from MEL at 00:50AM so I didnt want to take the earlier CX on AKL-HKG. All my flights have been set up to avoid night flights where possible- so I'll pass on CMB. The other issue with your suggested hkg-cmb-hkg-bkk (rather than hkg-sin-bkk) is that it would put me over the 20 segment limit. I'd have to cut one of my US segments, and then the mileage differential won't be worth it.

If you read again you will see that I had already cut the initial bkk-hkg segment, thus keeping you within the 20-segment limit. You are 2000 miles up on my proposed routing, but if you are trying to avoid overnight flights and CX118 then you don't have any options that I can see.
