CPlus Miles Transferred

Just checked and my Canadian Plus miles have transferred to my Aeroplan, however, only until December statement. Transactions since have not been posted (and I have a couple).

The interesting/disappointing/expected thing is that the Q miles did not transfer. I don't know if they are waiting until year end and just use it to determine status or if it is considered irrelevant if you have already qualified at the SE or E level.

I guess we will still have to wait until January to see if the CP Q miles are rolled into the Aeroplan Q miles for additional bonus points and upgrade certificates at the next threshold level. I know the word was that this would not happen, but I am still hoping . . .

Same here. My Aeroplan balance suddenly jumped by about 100,000 miles. But no change to the Q miles balance.

However, the CP online statement still shows the points in that account. I was expecting it to show zero. Maybe I should quickly redeem those points for travel.

Hhmmm. Interesting. My Aeroplan account doesn't show a December statement, and the miles/segments are about right for Air Canada only, so my CPlus points have not been moved over yet. Plus, I still show as Basic, despite having had enough Q points for Prestige for a few months, and now Elite.
Sure primitive (and frustrating) not to be able to access posted flight details.

My points have not yet been moved. I agree with HateToFly about the primitiveness of the online statements. Although I am looking forward to the online booking of award travel.

My points are still where they are. I'm no status on AC, Gold on CP. I wonder if it is being converted on status, name, or FF account no. order.

Interesting.

Called Aeroplan today and the automated response thing asked for my account no. Then it gave me the combined mileage, which hasn't shown up online.

For those who responded to CP with your Aeroplan account to have your points pooled by the deadline at the end of November, your CPlus points as of 16Dec were rolled into Aeroplan today. This is provided everything matched on accounts (including exact name/address/phone contacts).

Those who responded late or may have a difference on their accounts, will be mailed your 'new' Aeroplan account number. If you currently have an Aeroplan account and did not respond, you will need to wait until Jan 01 to have your points transferred over. If there was a problem with the matching of accounts, you can call in the new year (after Jan 01) and Aeroplan will be able to assist you. There will also be options available on the internet as well as the IVR when you call in, so you won't have to wait for an agent.

We were certainly surprised by those accounts that did transfer over points, and not to worry, if you have points still going into CPlus until the end of this year, they will not be missed. They will be transferred over early in the new year. Again, if there are problems, agents will be available to assist you and hopefully sort any problems out as quickly and simply as possible.

No word on the Q-miles transfer, I don't think that this will appear right away, but we are checking into it. Currently, those that transferred, just shows a lump sum. We cannot access in AC system what they were, only a lump sum. I believe that when the final transfer takes place, there will be an account of Q-miles/segments showing in the breakdown, but no exact date yet. Will let you know if I find out.

Empress, I saw you noted you do not have an Aeroplan account (or had one before), well, all members who either responded to Aeroplan that they would like an Aeroplan account, or members who did not reply at all, have been sent Aeroplan account cards just this week. As for "status" members, they have not specified anything yet. Have only received calls from people who started receiving their new membership numbers the past 2 days. Hopefully you will be receiving yours in the next couple days. I will check tomorrow if we can get any further information, as we would not want you to be unable to use your new card for travel Jan 01.
