It's not cheap. A one way ticket is over Ł1100 so a round trip is a bargain at Ł415 (due to the vagaries of airline pricing). Of course, you might just miss that return segment flight due to the enchanting beauty of Tahiti.

Sure makes that LAX detour look more palatable.

BTW, IMHO DPS is a lot easier to get to, a lot less expensive and the locals are much more hospitable than PPT.

I'm using Virgin Flying Club points for the AKL-PPT section (20,000 points for a return (I won't use the return flight)). I think I might get a stopover in Rarotonga thrown in as well for free.
