Refunding unused OWE ticket

I have a OWE ticket issued by QF for a trip commencing in JNB. It was bought through a TA in Joburg. Do I have to send the ticket to the TA for a refund or can I send it direct to QF in the UK?

If its issued through a travel agent, the normal procedure is to go through your agent - but if you're trying to avoid a penalty fee for a refund, you might do well and go with your airline directly. However, be prepared to return the ticket to your agency if the ticket was issued - cash-. Still it is better to ask your agency what's the best thing to do and that you are going to refund the ticket as you have not used it.

I can tell you that BA won't even take the ticket. Don't know about QF, but you might have to return it to your agent anyway.
