Wishing TAM to join OW
I've had some discussions in the AA Forum about this. I fly out of LAX and my frequent international destination is often Brazil. AA only flies out of MIA, JFK, DFW directly to GRU or GIG. Over here in LA the only LAX-GRU offered by a Brazilian airline is Varig, a Star Alliance partner. JAL or KAL may restart their routes again (who knows).
Since TAM is Varig's biggest competitor in Brazil, and a code-share partner with AA, I would imagine that adding the same route would be a strategic move for TAM.
Does anybody know if TAM is even being considered (or considering) joining in?
