Swiss joining OneWorld?

Does anyone have any current information on whether Swiss will joing OneWorld or not?

They've begun codesharing with American but have not entered oneworld. I read that the reason was that British Airways would be too competitive with SWISS for them to join oneworld. We'll see...

BA has blackball rights (all the founding OneWorld airlines do). Hard to believe that BA is afraid of Swiss as a competitor, and presumably Swiss would have to bring its fares into line with BA if it joined OneWorld. Maybe better for us if it doesn't join -- but hard to see how it can survive; the old Swissair was too small and tried to grow to survive (which killed it), now it is half the size and with little slack.
