Taxes on a RTW

I was just wondering the amount of taxes people have paid on RTW tickets. I have done 4 of these now. My first I paid $400, my second I paid $390, my third I paid $96 (not a typo) and the newest one I just paid 400USD.

All were 4 or 5 Continent Biz or First Class tickets.

In my experience it really depends heavily on which airports you're using. The difference between flying LHR->USA and CDG->USA can be $50 right there.

How different were the itineraries?
