There has been recent discussion on this board regarding the OWE fare increases in mid November. Silver's recent posting mentionned that the OWE ex-BUD fares have gone up by upto 55% UK prices went up by a little under 10%, but the Hungarian rise is just ridiculous. Resultingly, my OWE plans have been thrown into complete disarray.
It may now be more profitable to begin an OWE at an alternative European destination.
For example, regarding the 3 continent fare in D class,

BEFORE RISE:
BUD = � 1600 GBP (or thereabouts).
Most other places in Europe worked out at around � 2000, except of course for the UK tickets, which were priced at �3299
This certainly made the BUD idea worthwhile.

AFTER RISE:
BUD = �2400
UK = �3569.
I am most intersted to know whether there has been any substantial fare increase in other European countries. As I mentioneed above, most places in Western Europe were charging the equivalent of �2000 before the price rise (thanks to the price comparison chart on this board).
Does anyone know whether there has been any significant price rise in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Italy etc?

It may well emerge that these places are now cheaper than Hungary to originate the OWE.

Also, does anyone know roughly when the next price rise will be ? This one really caught me out and I'm actually quite upset about it

I posted in the other thread here in 1w that FRA is now much cheaper than BUD. for a 3 continent it is approximately USD 4900 for F/P.

3 continents OWE ex-Netherlands are now:
NLG 9,190 in Business
NLG 12,799 in First

I forget how much the C class fare used to be but F went up from NLG 11,057 - an increase of almost 16%!
