On that note I should say that BA is also in the running here, given that they do tier points based on spend as well, with lifetime status based in tier not distance.

To qualify for AAdvantage Platinum Pro (oneworld Emerald) based solely on annual credit card spend, a U.S.-based member has essentially three options:
The above represent consumer-focused cards and not business cards.
- Spend $105,000 (annually) on the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard (annual fee $595)
- Spend $110,000 (annually) on the AAdvantage Aviator World Elite Silver Mastercard (annual fee $199. Not open to new applicants; I'm unclear whether you can still product change)
- Spend $125,000 (annually) on any other U.S.-based cards (annual fee starting at $0 for the American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp Card)
The above represent consumer-focused cards and not business cards.
