This might have been posted, AY NRT-HEL no more. Now it is HND-HEL.
Got an alert re canceled flight on my DONE4, found out it was AY. Months (maybe more than 1 year) earlier, my same ticket had NRT-LHR, only to have BA canceled it (moved to HND-LHR).

Alaska Airlines has announced a new nonstop service from Seattle to Nassau, Bahamas, starting Dec. 15 and running until April, three days a week.

Alaska Airlines will fly direct to the Bahamas from Sea-Tac Airport this winter | The Seattle Times

Seems like a good way to get an extra pair of North America transcontinental flight on xONEx?

Except they don't have a Transcontinental C cabin like UA, DL, AA, and B6. That's a very long flight in domestic F recliners (as is MIA). If you're just looking to maximize miles within the US / North America... sure, but it's not the way I'd prefer to do it.

It’s just a couple hundred miles more than SEA-Hawaii and there are plenty of us west coasters who manage that. So another 20-30 minutes maybe.
What it does is provide another long flight option to a warm weather destination to utilize on a xonex as the SEA-Hawaii can only be used if you continue on west assuming of course that OW doesn’t amend the rules before the commencement of this route.

New nonstop AS seasonal routes, May - August 2024: ANC-SAN, ANC-JFK.

ANC-JFK comes in at 3386 miles, for tier point people.

Cool!
Particularly ANC-JFK. Wish it was extended into Sept. Love being in AK first 2 weeks of Sept (think fall colors)!

This overlay of AS and HA routes is pretty amazing. I'd imagine people in the Qantas head office are thinking about codeshares and fifth freedom flights that could provide Oneworld/QF access to major new Pacific markets for Aussie travelers. What if AS opened a HNL-NAN service linking QF's present SYD-NAN service?

Oneworld connect airline FJ flys NAN-HNL now. And to other South Pacific island destinations
To me would be good if FJ became a full OW member. OW Connect does not do much. [QF own 46% of FJ (to be confirmed)]
HA routes will be a good addition to *ONE* itineraries.

(includes codeshare - dotted, so over representation

Yeah, I'm all for them becoming a full member as well. I don't really see the point in the 'connect' program. FJ very frequently has the best business fares from Tokyo to OZ/NZ. I'm sure that will flip as soon as more Chinese capacity is back online, since pre-COVID they pretty much offered the best business fares anywhere in the region... sadly no OneWorld member though and CX almost never matches.
