One World Baggage Allowance?

The One World Baggage allowance for Emerald Frequent Flyers is:

Extra baggage allowance for Emerald frequent flyers

As an Emerald frequent flyer you can check in one additional bag for free in addition to your ticketed baggage allowance when you fly on oneworld airlines. If your ticket mentions a weight allowance, you can check in an extra 20kgs (44lbs). (This benefit is not available on British Airways 'Hand Baggage Only' fares on select short-haul routes.)

If my ticket states "1 piece" I understand that I can take 2 pieces but what is the weight limit for each piece, e.g. can I exceed 50 lb (23 kg) for one or both pieces?

One World Baggage Allowance?

I think it is a standard 1 piece (23kg usually) unless the airline offers more. Some airlines (BA and AA for example) offer a 32kg limit for EMD members so it's best that you check with a particular airline.

The weight limit is determined by the airline and route. It is not a universal oneWorld standard, thus it is not possible to give a generalised answer.

Some airlines will give extra weight also (e.g. QF to/from USA) and others will not (e.g. AY).
