Question Possible to link AA/CX PNR's

Is it possible to link to two separate PNR's to allow me to check a hold bag all the way through my trip with two separate Oneworld carriers?

I'm flying AA, IAH-DFW,DFW-LHR then CX LHR-HKG,HKG-BNE. I only have a 90 minute layover in LHR and don't think I'll make it through the re-check in process in time and so I am considering hand luggage only but as I'm away for a month would prefer to check a larger bag.

Any advice would be appreciated.

No need to link reservations to check baggage thru. As long as check in airline is willing to check thru to the second airline it does not matter if it is on one or two reservations. That was my experience in the past.

It should be fine, you may just want to bring proof of your CX tickets just incase.

You can call AA and CX respectively and ask them to add the info each other's FLTs into their respective PNR. However, even if you didn't, AA can still through-tag the bag for you as long as you show a copy of the onward CX TKT.

Happy new year. Can't help out with your PNR question, but I will say that IAH-DFW-LHR-HKG-BNE is an impressively out-of-the-way route from IAH to BNE! You must either very much love your miles, or very much dislike Qantas (or perhaps not flying westwards was one of your new year's resolutions?)
