Has anyone heard anything of a possible co-location of OW airlines? Would there be enough space at terminal 2A for the current US Airways, TAM, Qatar, MAH and Sri Lankan flights from terminal 1? ideally there would also be few Schengen gates for Finnair, Niki and Vueling flights.

With MH, the question would be to know if T2A is A388 compatible.
I wouldn't bet on it.
For the rest, kick AC out of T2A to *A colocation in T1 (the AC lounge in T2A is a complete dump anyway, never understood how they can value it as an asset worthier to a colocation), that will get some space at least of US airways flights.
Then a some TN, WY and XL airw. France flights that should be easy to move around the airport.
The question would be to see the capacity of lounges, CX and AA have their new lounge in the junction building btw T2A and C. But I am not sure if on peak hours that would be sufficient.

According to the local AA Premium Services folks, US will definitely be moving over to T2A now that the merger is real. The others would be nice, but obviously T2A/C need some major restructuring to fit all those carriers and their jumbos. This is apparently the intent of the connector between T2A and T2C - to make the relocations easier when the time comes.
