American/Qantas baggage rules

Hi,

I have a friend flying a Qantas/American Airlines codeshare from San Francisco to Sydney via LAX. The SFO-LAX leg is with American and then the LAX-SYD is with Qantas. Qantas allows 2 checked bags, while American has a long baggage table for int'l flights that does not mention Australia. Does anyone know the baggage rules in this situation?

On a single PNR (ie booking?)
Generally then the Most Significant Carrier Rule will apply.

Since it is a journey starting in the US, the luggage allowance at the start of the journey will apply throughout

The luggage allowance will be listed in the eticket receipt
