Since the BA booking does not involve any USA travel it's the baggage allowance of the operating carrier (AirBerlin) that applies for travel on the BA booking. You have already stated it is two pieces.
However, you need to answer a question already asked to for the other:
FWIW, it does not matter how the bookings are made, who they were booked through or, indeed, what carrier the bookings were ticketed under.
For non USA routings it's the Operating carrier and for routings involving the USA, it's the "Marketing" carrier (c.f. based on booked flight numbers).

Hi all,
I'm booking LHR-TXL-NUE return via BA.com as it's cheaper
Due to my status with BA I know I get 2 pieces of luggage on the outbound, but what about on the inbound flight where it will be a AB check in desk? Do I still have my 2 pieces of check in luggage allowance?
BA.com doesnt give any info and the AB isn't very clear

You will be entitled to whatever AB allows for class of travel in which you are booekd
AB seems to allow 0,1 or 2 pieces in economy depending on the fare
if you hold silver status, then if that allowance is less than 2 pieces of 23Kg, then you will be entitled to 2 pieces of 23Kg
If you hold Emerald status , then you are entitled to 1 piece more than ticketed

The additional luggage benefit that I mentioned will apply , since it is a One World benefit ( see https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/emerald-privileges and https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/sapphire-privileges )
If the ticketed allowance is 1 piece, then you will be allowed a total of 2 pieces should you hold either BA Silver or BA Gold status
What will not apply is the additional weight allowance per bag that BA permits, so will be limited to the max weight per bag that AB allows
