MH or AA or JL in J LAX-NRT

Anyone fly MH in J on the 772? I'll be looking for J award space using Avios for next April. I think the JL flights are loaded one year ahead, AA is 331 days, I think MH is 330 but am not sure. I'm very familiar with AA J and have flown JL J, but not MH. From their web site, they seem to have paired angled-flat seats very much like AA's and JL's.

Definitely JL, as they'll have the new lie-flat staggered J seats on their 77Ws on LAX-NRT by then, with aisle access for all (still in 2-3-2).

I agree with the above poster. MH angled lie-flat seats are ok on regional flights, but I wouldn't want to go TPAC on then.

Now for AA vs JL, is that route operated with the new AA J seat? If not, then I second whole-heartedly going with JL.

From the pictures, the MH angled-flat seats look about the same as the current AA and JL angled-flat J seats. Are MH any worse (or better) than JL or AA (assuming none are yet next-gen true-flat all-aisle-access)?

It'll be a while before the AA TPAC routes have one of the newer J seats. The 777-200 retrofit is supposed to start in 2014, so one would have to be very lucky to get a retrofitted 777. AA has ordered a lot of 777-300 (I think maybe 20) and so might decide to use one for one of the NRT routes, but so far that's just guessing.

AA does not charge fuel surcharges for award flights on JL or CX.

What's the plan for when these will start flying? I'm on doing J on JL LAX-NRT in late November of this year.

Been keeping up in this thread:

Looks like you'll have a decent chance at the new J.
