Carry-on baggage allowance on multiple carriers
Despite numerous searches I can't find a definitive answer to what the carry-on baggage allowance would be in the following scenario:
AA ticket (all sectors are AA flight numbers)
MAN-LHR - BA - 23kg carry-on allowance
LHR-JFK - AA - no weight limit given (Most Significant Carrier)
JFK-LIM - LA - 8kg carry-on allowance
Does IATA Baggage Resolution 302 apply to carry-on baggage limits and therefore the AA allowance would apply to the whole itinerary?
AA website says: "If your connection is on an oneworld alliance airline, and your transatlantic travel is on American Airlines, the American Airlines baggage allowance applies to the entire journey." Does this include carry-on baggage?

Thanks for the reply. I was expecting the answer to be "no", as I couldn't find any info regarding the IATA Baggage Resolution applying to carry-on luggage and I'm sure if it was explicitly mentioned there it would be easy to find.
However...
...before seeing your reply I spoke with someone from American Airlines who stated that the AA carry-on allowance would apply to the whole journey...???
I hate speaking with airlines and getting a completely conflicting answer every time I speak with someone different. The level of incompetence is shocking...

In general each carrier will enforce their own carry on allowance regardless of your ticked route. They _might_ make an exception from time to time but I wouldn't count on it unless you are in the pointy end.

14 C.F.R. sec. 399.87
For passengers whose ultimate ticketed origin or destination is a U.S. point, U.S. and foreign carriers must apply the baggage allowances and fees that apply at the beginning of a passenger's itinerary throughout his or her entire itinerary. In the case of code-share flights that form part of an itinerary whose ultimate ticketed origin or destination is a U.S. point, U.S. and foreign carriers must apply the baggage allowances and fees of the marketing carrier throughout the itinerary to the extent that they differ from those of any operating carrier.
