ACIRC26 processing problem
I can not be the only person who has had this problem, so, I am hoping that the FT members can help me.
My OneWorld ACIRC26 (JFK-HKG/HKG-SYD/SYD-LAX/LAX-JFK) was easily booked using AA’s RTW desk; my reservation will not be held past this coming Monday without payment. The problem, however, was that the fare was over my credit card limit and I would have to use two credit cards and they can only accept one credit card over the phone and they no longer accept checks. They indicated that I would have to go to an AA office in person to be able to use two credit cards.
Well after two attempts at the closest AA office which is at the MDT airport over 80 miles away, I still do not have tickets. The manager and supervisor were very nice and could get as far as entering the credit card information, but the system would go no further. Their repeated calls to various AA offices were unsuccessful though they all said that it could be done!!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Bill

Contact your credit card provider and see if you can make a prepayment on your card in the amount that the acir26 will be over your credit limit.
Ask the rtw desk to detail the steps that need to be taken by the AA office to issue the ticket and take those with you to the airport.

Problem just resolved! It turns out that the software (SABRE?) for doing 2 credit cards is not as user friendly as that for a single card - the credit card code has to be entered manually. The code for a Master Card is not MC, but CA!! Many thanks to Justin at the AA ticketing desk at MDT for resolving this issue.
