Yay! I've been horrified at the thought of having them in OW. They're easily the worst of China's big 3 airlines.

It is now time for oneworld to accept Hainan Airlines' application to join... since Hainan is the only Chinese carrier that earned the 4 Star Airline status from Skytrax.

Not going to happen given HU's links to CX enemies HX/UO.

Even UO/HX are enemy at HKG ground, those 2 are no where near CX/KA scale which poses insigificant competition.

How about having Hinan but not having the UO/HX under the umberlla?

Well, UO/HX can be non-member affiliates of the alliance, like Jetstar for Qantas. I think Hainan is a good complement to CX/KA's network, they flies to quite a few different destinations (eg. Seattle, Brussels, Berlin, Budapest and St. Petersburg).
