Looking for One World expert please!
I am going to the US on AA (V-class) and coming back on BA (V and S class) (fingers crossed as RTN is during strike period). I just signed up to AA Avantage scheme but then saw they don't offer points on BA transatlantic flights and BA reciprocate this. If I were to also sign up to the BA Exec Club can my One World points be amalgamated or is just not worth the effort.
I also flew AA a few months ago, I guess points can't be awarded retrospectively?
Thanks!

Suispasbelge Welcome to FT ^
Are you in the UK ?
There is no such thing as "One World points". Each airline has it own scheme (with different non One World airline partners) and in general cannot be amalgamated. If you were with QF you may get miles for both, but QF is not the best program in the universe. Alaska is another to consider.
In you were not signed up at the time, probably not. QF may allow 1 month (or 3?) retrospective claim

AA and BA cannot code-share, cannot award FF points for flying on the other's metal (US-UK flights only), cannot redeem awards on each other's flights (again just US-UK flights)
All this might be changing; there is thread on the AA forum discussing just this

This arrangement is almost certainly going to be rectified with approval of ATI for AA/BA/IB/AY and inter alia the rest of Oneworld, now in final approval cycles in the US and EU.
