LA any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Their hard product is so much better. At least you will have a proper sleep on a horizontal seat.

I would take QF over LA for the same reasons as given above. The flat bed may be better for sleeping, but not too relevent on this leg

I believe that the LA hard product is much better. My wife and I we much prefer LAN for cabin ambience, seats, IFE. Can't say we really noticed the food was any different. We mainly used LA between EZE / SCL and IPC but south american wine (assuming that it is served between SYD/AKL) was top hole too.
Cheers.

There is no full food service on the LAN flight between SYD and AKL. Only a snack (sandwich) will be served.

See premium flying across the ditch for menus, service, etc on NZ, QF, EK, LA.

If you are Oneworld Emerald and can stuff yourself silly in the QF First Lounge then go with the better LAN hard product. If you'll want something more than a sandwich on the plane go with QF. Wine-wise both are good. Service-wise, I think its better on QF - I think the LAN crew SYD-AKl have already done the flight coming in from AKL which leaves AKL at 0550. I don't think they are well-rested and just want to get the sandwich service over and disappear!
