LONE5 ex-UK, price changed?
Hello, i've been looking for a LONE5 ex-LHR and the price has changed about 400 GBP (excluding taxes) in just a couple of day. The itinerary remains the same. Any idea why?
Thank you,
Nicola

On the OneWorld web site a LONE5 is showing as 1718 GBP which appears about right for the current 10% sale (I'm pretty sure the LONE3 is unchanged @ 1214 GBP from when I last looked at it)

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but Cassolato is speaking about MY ticket
Ten days ago I designed a LONE5 ticket starting from LHR, first destination SFO.
Using BA as first carrier, I got a 1721 GBP + taxes (2350 approx).
Using AA to minimize fuel surcharges, I got a stunning 1217 GBP + taxes (1800 approx). This very low price was confirmed in all the next modifications of the plan.
A week later, I can't get the second price again (same ticket) and I'm stuck with 1721 GBP + taxes. Any idea about the reason? Was the lowest price a bug of the online tool? It is suspiciously similar to the LONE3 fare
Thanks a lot for your attention.

Welcome to FT Wil_77
Were you using the online OW tool to price these?
I think there was/is a bug with AA ticketed routings using the tool.
It seems to price up XONE4 bookings with the XONE3 price. Note the LONE3 base fare is 1214 according to OneWorld.com and these prices were last updated in August when the sale started.
I had the same issues when pricing up a DONE4 from AMM (which use the AA ticketing engine). I noticed the base fare on the quote was not the same as the base fare on the OW website fares estimate page. I tried another 3 continent booking and it priced up at virtually the same price as the 4 continent and the base fare showed the same figure.

If it makes you feel any better you will be pleased to know that I did try and book a DONE4 at the price quoted and got all the way to entering my CC number. Only after this did the system baulk and give some stupid error and refused to ticket the itinerary.
