I visited NZ in early 2016 with Adderall and declared that I had medicine. No problems.
They sent me to secondary screening line where they asked what kind of medicine I had. I told the agent it was Adderall, he did not know what that was, so I explained it was an amphetamine used to treat ADHD in the US. He said ok, and sent me on my way.
Same experience in Australia as well.
