Thumbs up Free GoGo trial for NW Plat Elite... coming soon according to WP TTU reply

I read with interest the thread in the Delta Forum about the Delta PMs getting email invitations to try out GoGo on their upcoming flights (until August 30). So I wrote TTU asking if I could have an invitation to try the GoGo wifi, too. Here is the reply I got from my TTU:

Dear secretsea18,

Thank you for your e-mail.

The complimentary offer for GoGo was originally designed to include both
Delta Platinum Medallion and WorldPerks Platinum Elite Members.
Unfortunately, due to a glitch the offer was only sent to Delta Platinum
Medallion Members.

We are currently working on getting this matter resolved and hope to
provide our WorldPerks Platinum Elite members the same opportunity by
the end of the month.

Your patronage is truly valued and I apologize for any inconvenience
caused in the interim.

Sincerely,

Summer xxxxx
WorldPerks Customer Service Center

Here is what I sent to the TTU:
I recently became aware (from Flyertalk) that DL Platinum Medallion
members received an email promotion inviting them to use GoGo on GoGo
equiped DL flights through August 30. As a NW WP Platinum Elite, I am
perplexed that I did not receive a similar offer to try GoGo on my DL
flights until August 30. I have continually been told that my NW PE
status means the same thing on both DL and NW, however the NW PEs seem
to be continually excluded from the very nice DL promotions that PMs
receive. Is there any way that I can receive this offer to try GoGo
inflight? I would very much appreciate trying the wifi in flight on my
next DL flight.
Thank you.

Hopefully NW/DL will make good on the invitation to try out GoGo!!!

It is good to hear they are at least working on it. Wonder how long it will really take. I also wonder how much demand internet on planes will have.

from bestfares.com....

I got a code from bestfares.com for one use. The code is 159flt3161. I hear it's valid for single use per created account.

Does that go for NWA Upgrades on NW-coded DL operated flights too?

I demand it to not be available in flights that I take.
Does anybody really think that the plane won't be full of the loud voices of idiots shouting into some VOIP phone to inpress the busty chick 11 rows back with his 401K's growth or some other claptrap.

and, no, blocking VOIP will not work, there's always an enterprising person ready to offer what pretentious idiots want. Steve Jobs, W hotels, red-carpet boarding lanes . need i go on ?

I hope they will make an offer for a free trial in september, it's probably going to come too late for me to make much use of it this month.

I just love the sentence '...due to a glitch.' Here we have the world's largest airline, self-proclaimed, saying 'due to a glitch' with a straight face and saying nothing more. This is just too Dilbert-esque.

Why would you care about what happened? Are you an IT person who is interested from a professional perspective?

The regular public I think doesn't really care what/how it happened - they just want the promotion.

Anybody that tries is going to be dealing with some latency issues, so I dont see this happening.

Is it possible to adopt a CB radio communication approach? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_procedure

Over and out.
