Medallions Can Earn 3x Miles w/ Avis
I received an e-mail from Delta this afternoon telling me "As a Delta SkyMiles Medallion member, you can earn triple miles on all qualifying rentals ...."
Is Delta recognizing my WP Status ? I'm a lowly (but linked) member at Delta.

No, they sent the communication to a lot of people. Some should not have been targeted. My friend received one w/0 miles, 0 MQMs, General Member.

Delta sent me another e-mail apologizing for the first e-mail. I will add the text of the original tomorrow.
As promised:
"As a Delta SkyMiles Medallion member, you can earn triple miles on all qualifying rentals of one day or more at participating Avis airport locations in the U.S. and Canada until December 31, 2009.
Mention coupon # MUAA053 to receive triple miles.
Mention Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD)
# K817600 to receive discount.
Provide your SkyMiles number at the time of reservation or at the rental counter. "

I checked it out for LAX. Using the 3x promo numbers the rental cost was $8/day higher than the Costco rate.

My brother got the same thing - medallion email then apology. LOL, DL...
