Just got this in an email. Seems like a heckuva deal! 10k per RT, capped at 100k. For those wondering, I'm a Plat with barely 5k flown on the year. This might be trying to induce some of us to give DL/NW another shot. And since I'm way off 100k on UA already this year, it might just work!

I got it too - I'm a former multi-year NW Plat (now a Gold due to my mid-year defection from NW/DL to UA) and haven't had a paid segment on them yet (though I did have 2 YX segments credit to them due to irregular ops on UA & being rebooked on YX).
I'm guessing that's why I got targetted?

As a NW Gold, my offer was 5,000 miles per round-trip up to 50,000 miles total. My non-elite wife got the same offer.
It looks like there is no restriction on when the travel is booked, only on when it is flown, so I guess I'll pick up an extra 5,000 miles for an already-booked trip to Europe for the Fall.
I would have liked to have been targeted for the 10,000 mile per round-trip offer, however.

Have any hub captives gotten this offer? I'm sitting here watching my blackberry for the email I know isn't coming. The only thing worse than a massive mileage inflation event that wil devalue what I already have, is a massive mileage inflation event that will devalue what I already have that I cannot participate in!!!!

I'm relatively new to this, but I do not remember NW doing a targeted promo like this in the past. This seems a lot more like DL than NW (so in DL speak I guess I should report that this hub captive got a "rock" on this promo).

I'm curious what the criteria is: I did get some miles in the double/triple EQM promo -- I wouldn't feel so bad if this went to people who didn't get any double/triple EQM.
But it pisses me off a little if it is more general than that -- I resisted the urge to switch to CO and stayed loyal to NW/DL this year and this is my reward?
