NWA Agent ERROR
Hi,
I booked an award ticket from SFO-BOM-SFO using my worldperks miles and NWA booked me on Jet Airways. I got my return journey upgraded to Business Class whereas outbound was in coach.
Now one of the NWA agent cancelled(as per them by mistake) my booking from SFO-BOM and didn't even told me until i called them after looking at it online. I had to go through lot of pain on the day of travel as NW and Jet people kept sending me to each other. After spending 4 hours running here and there at the airport finally i got my ticket issue resolved.
To my surprise when i checked my return ticket this morning it was cancelled again because of NWA agent's error. I called the Worldperks SE and they said now my return journey can pnly be in coach as they can't find any Business class for any other airlines also.
They said we can't do anything now and offered me either $75 credit or 10000 bonus miles. NWA SE people asked me to call the customer care number and they are also offering me the same and they said there is no one after them to escalate the issue.
I personally think this compensation is not sufficient keeping in mind that i have to fly coach from BOM-SFO and the harrasment i had to go through all the 2-3 times to get everything resolved.
Please suggest me what should i do in this case.

When is your return? Which airline/routing are you using for the return?
I would print out the electronic ticket receipt that clearly shows a ticket issued in business class. I would then also use TTU to explain the situation - you want this IN WRITING and TTU will be in writing. Tell them clearly but briefly what happened and what you expect as a resolution.
If they absolutely can not get you into business class (the only reason IMHO would be the cabin is fully booked, not the business award class is no longer available), I would expect a refund of the difference of miles between Y and C and an additional 10K or more miles.

NWA Error
I am still flying Jet airways BOM-SFO on 11/16 in the same flight. The only difference is it's going to be Coach rather than BC.
I have already talked to world perks reservation agents and customer care for this issue. None of them gave me a satisfactory answer and offered me 10k bonus miles as inconvenience.
I really don't want any bonus miles as a compensation. It would have been ok if this was their first time making a mistake. But they made the same mistake 3 times and i had to go through a lot of harrasment to get all that resolved.

I often get awards that have 6 or 7 segments, one or two of which are in coach. Sometimes these get upgraded, if they're an EUAble route. I think just a day or two before the flight, though. Of course with mean DL coming on the scene, who knows what next year will be like.

If the OP should not have been booked into C in the first place, NW should refund the difference in miles PLUS a mileage compensation. But he doesn't want any mileage compensation, he wants business class. Unfortunately we are dealing with companies that take the upper hand, rarely admit mistakes, and have extremely poor customer service (not just NW). So their attitude is "take it or leave it" and I doubt you will get any further.
