Worldvaction questions
I am not quite ready to call them, so hoping I can have answers before I do. I am wanting to book a WorldVaction trip for my wife & I. (The vacation package is pricing cheaper than if I just bought the flights by themselves.) I have a few questions & I think I know the answers, but thought I would run it by the group to see if anybody knew for certain.
1.) Will we earn our normal miles on the flight? (I am pretty sure the answer is yes.)
2.) Will we be eligible for an upgrade? This is all domestic. I am plat & my wife is general member. (I am thinking this is probably yes also.)
3.) I have two ECV's for $300. Can I use those? (I am thinking yes.)
4.) I want to pay the balance or at least the hotel portion with a Priority Club AnyHotel visa gift card. Is this possible. (I think I will be out of luck here.)

2. Yes normal time window usual but don't know how the companion upgrade works for plats. Unless of course to hawaii then the flight to Hawaii is a big no.
3. I want to say yes you should be able too because I think I have in the past but if you can't do it online call the call center no booking fee I believe.
4. If its a visa and has enough balance on it to get approval that would be a go huston.
5. Check the worldvactions page up and down for promotions too before you book they sometimes hide them or even call and the people know of some that aren't even listed. Awsome people at worldvacations.
===EDIT===
1. Answer stays the same
2. Answer stays the same
3. Yes you can use you ECV's to pay for the trip along with 8 other gift cards or ECV.
4. You can pay by 10 different credit cards. For each credit card you can tell them how much you want to charge on each card. Granted you will have to put in all the billing info for each card but for some people thats how they are going to have to pay for there trip. So if you only have 100 dollar balance just type in 100 dollars and thats all it will try to charge to that card. And theres an option to put down a deposit and pay the balance 45 days before departure. So all in all you can give them 20 forms of payment for this trip.
I hope this "non low life" silver was helpful.

Well, I called & tried to book.
Problem #1- I was told that I can only use one ECV since both are in my name.
Problem #2- I was told that I can only use my gift card (which is American Express & not Visa - my mistake) when their regular accounting staff is there during the week. I could call back on Monday & have them apply the gift card to the account. I decided against that at this time & chose not to book.
I may try to call back again later tonight or in the morning.

*AND* your elite-status bonii,1. Yes and any bonus for class of service such as first class
*AND* whatever NW-WV booking-bonus RDMs they're promoting... (currently MX, HI, & ?) .. per traveller.
another tidbit: they're OK with selling 'stacked' trips .. (what *we* call 'nesting', but avoiding the dirty word
) as long as you're within all the regular fare-rules, and meet their minimumsThey did 'advise' me that their live CSRs are generally not able to modify an on-line booking after-the-fact.
ed1 ~ you stalking me ??
