Getting off the flight during connection
Hello!
I am wondering what would happen if I were to book a flight Philadelfia - Denver with a layover in Detroit, and get off in Detroit.
Obviously, I would not be checking-in any luggage in PHI.
Need this information ASAP.

If you're on a one-way ticket, nothing. If you're on a round trip, the rest of your reservation could be cancelled.

It is on the way back, so it is not a problem. I am more interested if there are any legal ramifications.

It does if you ever want to fly NW again... Revenue Protection does track these things, name, CC#, etc. and does crack-down on people. Do a search over on the CO board for the "Super Snooper" for more info...

Unless you do this on a regular basis there is no way that NW or CO could or would do anything to you.

do it all the time. usually when a new trip pops up and does not agree with my return flights. its never on purpose, but im not going to fly back to MSY through MSP or IAH, just to hop right back on to one of the connecting cities. i usually call to explain that something came up. they're always fine with it. sometimes i get the miles and segments and others i dont. I know CO's official rule, is that you do not, but i do. not sure about NW's rules.
