I believe both Positive and Critical comments are submitted to this forum on a daily basis.

That's what makes the NWA Forum so interesting.

Note: Personal Attacks on other FTers are not allowed, but negative comments about problems, concerns, previous events, etc. are regularly discussed.

Positive or negative who cares. But logical would for sure be easier to comprehend.

I think Gordo has enough problems with his own customers.

Just about all of the DC9's are older than I am and I love them. While I find CO's F much nicer (leather, pitch, IFE), I'm not going to jump on an ERJ or a B1900 to connect somewhere and deal with the 50/50 chance that the EUA worked to get 50% EQM.

Does it seriously matter if they use a cart to serve drinks or not? Obnoxious is most definetly not the appropriate term anyway. The only drink service item that I've ever felt was inferior on NW was that CO has larger, nicer glasses, but anyway...

I've flown CO 25-50% of the time for the past few years and had many memorable flights. I will miss them, though I will continue to grocery shop in the P Clubs when my travels permit.

Go NWA

True. I should have said "constructive". If someone wants to give the impression that CO is that good, you should not need to put down NW. The CO product should do well on its own.

BTW. NW and CO are different products that seek out a different market share. I usually find these topics comparing airlines not that helpfull. I usually suggest that you need to look at your needs and pick tha airline that fits them best. Obviously, the original post suggest that NW is not his/her best choice...

What kind of "constructive" comments were you looking for?

NW and CO "seek out a different market share"? Really now? What would these different market shares be? The original poster already said "the alliance" had him flying NW. Doesn't extensive codesharing counter your point of different products/different market share?

There are times, with the CO-NW alliance, when one has no choice but to fly NW. For example, CO does not fly to Green Bay but codeshares with NW. How is this consistent with the supposed different market share?

Might want to double check for typos. I find that NW compares quite well to NW, being that NW = NW

Now, if you're trying to compare NW to CO, you might want to say that, for those who don't know who "Gordo" is.

You are becoming as illogical as the original poster. I have looked over and over at his/her post and no where do I see that s/he says anything about going to Green Bay.

The only thing the original poster talks about as different in product are the seat and the drink cart and age of ac. I will opine that is the market share that is being discussed here further on in the thread by fromXYU.

obnoxious ( P ) Pronunciation Key (b-nkshs, b-)
adj.
Very annoying or objectionable; offensive or odious: I know no method to secure the repeal of bad or obnoxious laws so effective as their stringent execution (Ulysses S. Grant).
Archaic. Exposed to harm, injury, or evil: The town... now lies obnoxious to its foes (John Bunyan).
Archaic. Deserving of or liable to censure.
Now for the sake of constructive ccomments let us pretend that the original poster who in his/her profile states they are from New Haven which has neither co or nw service (only us) really meant to compare NW with CO in first class and I guess s/he means those who do it by paying cash for it. There you go there is your answer s/he is exactly the type of person Gordo wants. End of constructive comments unless you can somehow deduce from the older comment something constructive.

Nope just a deduction that the person flies to Green Bay because of the alliance.

Can't wait for the comments about flying DL because of the alliance.

There is no indication that Green Bay was part of anything, but that's why that sentence was prefixed with "for example".

By the way, codesharing means that one carrier may sell one flight that is to be operated by one carrier. Some, on this board, including the original poster, refer to it as an "alliance". Therefore, a ticket sold by CO could be operated by NW, and vice versa.

So "different market share" is pretty much rubbish since one can buy a Continental first class ticket and end up on Northwest.

Just by using for example does nothing to change what you surmise the original poster was comparing nor fromXYU.

If I was to say: for example since you are the only one who says that the reason s/he is flying in the alliance is because they are the only flights available to her/him it leads me to believe that you must have been her/him and made the original post. This would have as much validity as your post about Green Bay as far as I am concerned.

Now I will emphatically state that what others are comparing to market share has as much validity as what you imply since you are the only one who is of the opinion that what the original poster insinuated was that 'because of the alliance' they were flying nw as there were no other options.

Flight departing Green Bay:

DL5777 10:35 AM 01:02 PM
DL5778 03:45 PM 06:12 PM
DL5779 07:45 PM 10:13 PM

Can't wait for the comments about flying DL because of the alliance.

There are always other options, but if you book CO into Green Bay, for example, one would wind up on NW.

Welcome to FlyerTalk! Obviously you will do well here with an open mind like this. Do you have anything positive to say?
Folks like you should fly CO anyway. Look around the CO Forum, lots of happy people just like you.

Well actually in the co forum there's alot of elites that have had the fill of being "enhanced" and are leaving (like myself) I won't set foot on a CO piece of equipment this year as a CO Gold....NWA here I come
