Over in the 2008 Elite Requalification Roll Call thread...

Obviously it's time for the 2009 Elite Requalification Roll Call thread!

And yes, Jamito Cartero, it's not February or March just yet, but it is a whole month later than it was when Steve started the 2008 thread last year!

Alas, I have absolutely nothing booked toward 2009 requalification at this point, so you can all revel in yours for a while before I get going.

I will start the year with an easy 2500 miles on Jan. 1 or 2 thereabouts. After that, we each have 18,548 revenue miles & 32,090 award-ticket miles already booked for the year.

Thumbs up Ooh yeah, the 2500! Me too!

I totally forgot about that. Looking forward to that - that's just about a HNL-LAX flight worth for me right there!

Hey, I started it that early last year, with the DL fare mistake. People had 75k booked by the 3rd week of Jan...

I'm (so far) booked for 37,794 EQM in '08. Falling back to Silver, going for Plat again, booked half-way there.

Thanks for the new thread.... Here's my status for 2009 Qualification...

Good news though... I am guaranteed platinum by March 22, 2008... Here's the 1Q08 flight schedule (skipping writing all return dates)

6 January: CUU Chihuahua -> DTW via IAH
7 January: DTW -> PVG Shanghai -> DTW via NRT
31 January: DTW -> Moscow (forget shermetaro code) via AMS
12 February: DTW -> Monclova, Mexico via IAH
24 February: DTW -> NRT
2 March: DTW -> MUC via AMS; FRA -> DTW
15 March: DTW -> STT St Thomas -> DTW via San Juan

I calculated hopefully correctly that this will give me approximately 77,000 EQM by 22 March 2008.... mwuahahaha... that's a good thing, right?

I'm booked for 24,168 through mid-March. Can't fly in January and February as those are prime ice fishing weekends. Need to re qualify in March and April, then in December as I don't want to screw up any bow hunting either. Or pay summer prices.

Starting slow like always, am headed to MIA next weekend. FCO in February and then HNL in the summer time with the family, so I see no reason that won't be plat again by the summer time. Safe Travels as always!^

22,885 miles on the "Travel reservations summary" so far for '08.

Will have trips to Basel, Geneva and at least one more to AMS + unpredictable domestic travel after a 150K year in '07. Unlikely to match that. Just hoping for Platinum again!

I've got 130k EQM booked so far (Plus another 10k RDM on CI, 25k on *), but will probably cancel about 50k of my DL EZE-NYC tickets. Since most of this is in the first 5 months of the year, I won't worry too much about retaining status. Unless I keel over, I'll be fine.

Talk about membership in the Iron-Butt club!

I just realized what it would take for me to reach the 120k/2SWUs from EEP... 10k EQM... a month. Being a hub-captive, that can be a challenge. That's (2) west-coast and (1) south-east flights... a month. For 160k/2SWUs, make that 3+1. Plat is a measily 1+1.

Who are you people, that you can stand to sit in a plane that much...
