Need help receiving PK161 WPVisa/$100 code

I've redeemed this URL 3x, and have the printouts:

http://www.nwa.com/100savings/

and have only received 2 codes, and verified I put in the correct to: email address.

I've called the Plat line, they forwarded me to web support. Web support took all my info, told me they'd get back to me... and never got back to me (phone or email). I've filed two new TTUs, one for "web support" (no expectations, given phone support's lack of communcation, and no "Reply Needed" field), and one for "travel experience other" (can I complain about a travel experience that hasn't happened?).

All I'm asking for is my 3rd code, or my 10,000 miles back.

Anyone have the secret code to crack this customer service issue?

NW Scoop, you out there?

Steve B.

I do not kid you, this is the reply I just got back from the Web Support "Deals and Promotions" TTU...

Dear Steve B.,

Thank you for contacting nwa.com Customer Service.

Thank you for choosing Northwest Airlines. We value your patronage and
consider it a privilege to serve your travel needs.

Sincerely,

?????
nwa.com Customer Service

I guess they decided not to put anything into the cut-and-paste entry. So... aside from thanking me for contacting them, thanking them for choosing Northwest Airlines, showing they value my patronage, and considering it a privilege to serve my travel needs... where's the status on my cert, or milage refund?

NW Scoop, where are you (sung to the Scooby Doo theme)?

I had success with TTU: Field1: WorldPerks Programs, Field2: WorldPerks Mileage, Field3: Buy/Gift/Transfer Miles. I listed the dates I ordered PK161 codes and the codes I'd received and they came up with the missing one.

Good luck!

I received an email back on 12/31 9:35am, with the (3) original transactions, and what each 012 code and redemption date was. So this info is stored somewhere on their side, and thanks heavens someone got the email who knows where this data is stored.

It took 4 phone calls and about 45 minutes on hold total, but I finally got my 2008 cert number today. Hurrah!

The down side is that 100 rule. It's out for my favorite MSP-SFO-MSP Tuesday night turn unless they jack up the price.

It seems the TTU route is the way to go. That's how I finally received mine. You would think they could program the computers to automatically spit them out since they take your miles right away.

On your SFO run have you tried looking at different flights/times when the fare basis might bump it up enough to use the e-cert, or is the fare THAT low? Or, perhaps, trying to add DTW into the mix using multi-city tool?

My experience with this cert is that if the all-in price fits in the 20-50 selections you pick, then it will display.

For instance, I have a routing that is $198 all-in for K-fare, yet is $100.25/seg base-fare (pennies over $200) for T-fare. So when the cert is applied against the T-fare, it's less then the K-fare, and shows up at the top of the "least expensive" sort option.

The fare-lookup process should apply the cert to the fare-bucket that it can be applied to. If all else fails, when you go to "More Selections" to enter the e-cert number, change the base-fare drop-down to remove K, it's something such as "T-fare or above". Then the e-cert should be applied, and displayed.

Then again, if you can get a K-fare for $150, and a T-fare + e-cert for $151, I'd save the e-cert for a routing that has fewer options. You're paying 10k miles for this, so use it wisely. Save it for a TATL that has no K-fare, or a domestic that even the K-fare is above $200 base-fare. IMO.

In the last month I've redeemed twice and both times no email but TTU took care of it within a few hours.
