Need 10k miles from whatever source possible
After burning through the miles I could, I have managed to bring my NW miles to 14k and some change. I was thinking I could sign up for something somewhere and get that up to 25k, enough for one free emergency ticket. Anyone know a quick and painless way to do that without actually flying? Of course, if getting them by flying were to somehow be cheaper than signing up for a card, I could do that too. Thanks all!

Maybe signing up for long distance or eating at idine restaurants a lot?
If you really want good miles, sign up and do FFF3.

If you haven't been or aren't a earthlink member you can sign up for 4 months of service and get 10,000 miles.

Keep nwa.com Club in mind as it would take you halfway there. For $35 you get a 2K mile sign up bonus, plus a certificate for 3K miles off an award certificate booking. Membership is closed at the moment but will probably open up sometime not too far off. You can sign up for e-mail notification when they resume accepting memberships at

MCI is also running a 3K mile special for long distance. But keep an eye out for better offers. I'm on one for 5K that I signed up for not too long ago.
