DTW - CDG in WBC
I am flying from Detroit to Paris tomorrow in WBC. It is my first time ever flying with NW, so I was just wondering what to expect.
Any comments?

It is a nice flight. You should get access to the DTW world clubs which are some of the nicest NW airline clubs in the domestic US (also, think that they're some of the nicest of any legacy but some will disagree on that point). Seats are good especially if you sleep on your side. Printed menus. Alcohol selection is not bad. Mrs. Gtitan brought some girl scout cookies and the FAs gave us a bottle of champagne which was nice. AVOD is very nice. All in all I would call it typical NW WBC. Safe travels and enjoy!

However I would not expect the same as the UA First Class on a 744....
Still, WBC on the 330 ain't bad. The seatguru maps are right on, especially about the noise.
All the best, James

Thanks for the comments.
Unfortunately I will have to wait for the experience. My connection was late arriving in Detroit and I missed the flight. NW rebooked me on BA.
I'm sitting in Heathrow now waiting for the connection to Paris & stewing about all the points I lost

You did not lose any miles. Just drop an email to NWA via TTU and ask them to credit miles for your original flights on NW.
Now if they will find my luggage ...

Hmm, reminds me...
I'll be using an award ticket (with Mrs. Yogimax) for economy flights from JFK to CDG on Delta and back from CDG on NW (CDG-DTW-LGA).
What's the deal on lounge access at CDG? I'll be flying as a platinum and also have a WC membership.

I've read that there is an AF lounge in the new S3, so if/when NW moves there I'd assume that lounge will become the NW partner one.
Of course a NW Platinum = SkyTeam Elite+ status which you get access to ALL (except arrivals) AF lounges at CDG day of travel, not just the one I mentioned above for non elite WorldClub members.
Our friends in the AF forum are very helpful and have great stickies for CDG navigation, S3 updates, lounges, etc.

NW may Currently the flights depart from a remote/temporary branch of terminal 2E. The one AF operated WorldClub partner lounge is located in the temporary terminal and is actually very good. It beats most WC's with a nice wine selection, champagne, some finger food, etc. It also has a very modern design with leather seating and hardwood floors. There are even a few iMacs to use for free.
The trouble is there is no shower in this lounge. And when I was there on 7/10 they were closing it at 1:30pm yet the NW49 is departing at 2pm.

Aren't you supposed to be heading down to the aircraft by then? Doesn't boarding generally start 60 minutes out from departure? If so, then it should work out well for NW49 passengers.
