NW Gift Certificates question
NW is currently running a promo through the end of December for NWA gift certificates---bonus points for buying certificates, up to 1500 miles per.
Question: If using the certificate toward a ticket, does that ticket earn World Perks miles AND does it count toward elite milage? I would certainly assume it does, but-hey! its Northwest!

The certificates are just like cash.........if the fare would qualify for mileage with cash or credit then it would with the certificate. Would u mind posting a link or tell me where the promo info is? Thanks.

This is the only caveat I see "Purchaser may not earn bonus miles for gift certificate purchased for themselves."
