I promised on another thread to look into this area.As of July 10, NWA went to a new computer system which now features online acct data, like Delta has had for awhile. Today I spoke with a WorldPerks supervisor who explained that there is a 1 month period until Aug 10, 2000 during which problems are being noted, and WILL then be corrected.
Specifically, the following problems have arisen:

1-DINING PROGRAM-Signature Group sent NWA a tape on 7/6/00 with credits through the June cutoff. Unlike prior months in which NWA posted these credits within a week, the JULY tape for JUNE has not been posted & probably will not be posted until after Aug 10. They hope to be back on target by mid August with July postings.
2-ALASKA NWA GOLD UPGRADES- Lately, when you use one of these certificates to get comped from coach to 1class on AS, it has been showing up as ineligible fare, so NO miles are being posted. NWA expects to have this fixed very soon.
3-500MILE EMAIL BONUS- This promo required you to give NWA a valid email address by 6/30 & you are to receive miles now & 500 at the end of 8/00. If you did this early on, you probably got the 1st 500 within a week, but those of you who waited until late June probably have not yet received your 1st 500 miles. This, too, is supposed to be fixed by mid August.
4-SPRINT 5000 MILE BONUS MONTHLY FOR 5 MONTHS-No problem in posting this in MAY & JUNE but it appears that JULY posting was not done, & this, too, should be corrected in August.
5-NWA FLIGHT POSTINGS-#1 objective since 7/10 has been to get this done on a timely basis.

I know that NWA is getting a lot of calls about the above, but I suggest waiting until the end of 8/00 & checking on-line.

Sounds like a good-enough reason for me to keep my cool regarding my award seat availability woes and waitlisting.

Does anyone think that NWA will change their online award book tool? I hope so. It feels kind of outdated and slow. It would look better of the "feel" of it was similar to the booking "feel" of regular tix.

What's even weird is that business class seats can't be booked if you have a connecting domestic flight w/ a business class fare code. e.g. SYR-DTW-NRT.

Thanks for the update. I too am waiting for my final 5K posting from Sprint and am glad to hear there is a good reason behind the delay.

On another note, my flight YUL-AMS from lsat Sunday is listed but not credited to my account, with reason given "pending internal processing." Looks like the system is having some problems, but given the account info now available, waiting seems like a good plan.

My July 5 5K Sprint bonus appeared this morning.

It's August 10 & I'm still missing too many postings. Anybody notice any 5M Sprint or Dining postings lately?

I'm still missing postings also. Their first email response to me was worthless and I am awaiting a reply to my second email to them. Sprint confirmed the miles were sent to NW (dates and amounts). NW must really be having problems since the new system went in. IT better get on the job

My father got his 5k miles about a week ago.

The NWA Visa credit card miles usually are posted the day after the bill is mailed out. This time, it took about 2 weeks. And the posting date was one month off. (i.e. should have been jul xx, instead was jun xx)

I have a feeling some poor people are manually putting these things in.

My flight mileage (from a trip to DFW earlier this month) took about 2 days to be credited.

Appears that as of today, 8/26/00, everything which should have been posted has been done correctly & that most prior problems have been taken care of.

Specifically:
1-My NWA flights thru 8/23 are posted.
2-Dining for Miles - Signature Corporation -All delayed postings are in my account as well as dining activity through July 28, 2000.
3-Sprint 5000 mile bonus and usage thru July 15, 2000 are posted.

I don't know if the Alaska Air NWA Elite 1class situation has been corrected since I haven't flown on AS since 6/00.

Also, my 2d 500 mile Email bonus has not yet been posted, but I think NWA plans on posting that after 8/31/00.

I am waiting for >8000 miles flown on AS (upgrades from Coach). Alson note, even if you pay ($40 one-way) for an AS upgrade, your NW account will not be credited, much like the NW certs.
