Flying First Class with NW for the first time...
Flying domestic F with NW for the first time in the 757-200, A319 and DC9-50 this week, what should I expect?
(According to Seatguru, I see I shouldn't expect much legroom!

What segments are you flying? Are any over 2.5 hours and near meal times?

A bigger seat, slightly more legroom, complimentary snacks and booze. NW isn't the greatest FC in the world by far, but it sure beats coach, and as an elite, the price sure is right (FREE). Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

I think your experience depends entirely on whether you have flown FC on other carriers, and how much have you done that.
I am tempted to advise you not to expect too much, but then again I remember the first time I was in First Class. It was definitely exciting!
Now I'm so used to it that it's all not that special; in fact I can think of some improvements that could be done. I sill think FC on NW is a very decent product!

In that case, you are going to be getting quite familiar with the new upgraded snack basket. All the bagel chips, biscotti, kit kat, bananas, apples, nuts, and pretzels you can eat. (I think I might have left something out). On the morning flight, it will have muffins, granola bars and couple of other things (I tend not be processing at too high a level on those 6am flights, so the details are a little fuzzy). You are going to have to take our word that this snack basket is a SIGNIFICANT improvement over what we used to have. No warm nuts, but maybe you can get the FA to put a couple of packets of nuts over the coffee maker.
Also, the red wine is surprisingly drinkable (at least it was in January, the last time I drank it).

In a similar vein, I'll be flying FC DEN-MCO ($265 RT for anybody looking for a mileage run, 5600 miles) and was wondering about access to the WorldClub lounge. Is it the same as Delta where you get access with a first class tickets? Thanks.

I humbly think that NW FC is actuallly pretty good. The seats are pretty nice, leg room is decent, for the most part the domestic FAs are good and the booze is plentiful. I'll be in it this evening come to think of it on my way to LAS!

NW 757 have two sets of doors and depending on which one they use, you may not have any coach passengers walking by you during the boarding process, which means a bit of an opportunity to get something done.
You may or may not be offered something to drink during the pre-boarding process, you'll (as previously stated) get a more comfortable seat and may even get a foot rest, they'll offer to hang up your coat for you and during the flight you'll get something to drink in either a real glass or a real coffee cup and something like some pretzels or nuts.
There's also a bathroom that's used by only the FC passengers and some of the crew members (no standing in line).
Not exactly something I would spend extra money to get, but if they give it to me as an upgrade I won't complain.

NW first class isn't much. On a flight from DTW to MEM at 7 am (it's about a two hour flight) all I got was a Quaker Oats chewy oatmeal bar. I couldn't believe it. I was used to getting upgraded on CO. On that length of flight I would have gotten breakfast. Heck in coach in CO at that hour, I've often gotten cereal and a banana. Oh well.

If you are expecting roast duck served on china with a glass of champaigne you are in the wrong place.
You get a bigger seat, some snacks, a cabin bathroom, and the right to board and exit the plane first.
That's it, but is still beats coach.
