My husband and I have split our reservations and put them back together many times. I'm surprised to hear that so many are having a problem re-joining split reservations. I recommend calling the Elite line...if one person doesn't reconnect them, call back again and see if the next one will.

That's a good suggestion. It ought to work if a NW rep is insistent. It definitely works with a good number of other airlines.
