My thoughts exactly. PLUS, NW has already closed WC in PHL....and DL Crown Room has moved to a different terminal. The closure of WC in PHL alone should be a hint enough that there is no long term intent to develop routes out of PHL.

The DL Crown Room happens to be in the international terminal though...

STL wants in on the action too: http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/bus...A?OpenDocument
----------------
But Northwest Airlines is a possibility.

Northwest partners with Dutch giant KLM and by spring will fly to Amsterdam from 16 U.S. cities, including mid-sized markets like Portland and Hartford, Conn. Its executives said recently they plan further trans-Atlantic expansion.
----------------

With Boeing, Anheuser-Busch, and Monsanto, among others, one could argue "demand" for TATL service. STL-AMS is about 3,800 nm, which is doable (I think).

Another pipe dream worth sharing, but not worth its own thread (sorry to hijack the PIT thread).

NW says STL-AMS is 4371 miles. My guess is that this is beyond the range of the 757. DTW-FRA is 4160 miles, but they only run a 757 on this route during the summer months (in addition to the year round A330) when the headwinds are generally lighter.

The modified 752 is the logical starter aircraft for mid-sized markets, yet the range limitations may curtail operations like STL-AMS.

What is the official range for the 752-TATL? And is that nautical miles or statute miles?

For practical purposes the 752-TATL range is not more than DTW-FRA which is 4160 statute miles. One nautical mile is about 1.2 mile.
