How long before an ECV is posted?
I've searched the archives as best I could, but couldn't find a definite answer, so...
How long should I wait before calling to ask why my ECV hasn't been posted to my account? I recently rescheduled an MSY flight because of the hurricane and had a fare difference that the GE rep said would post to my account as a ECV. My itinerary changed immediately (I really do give credit to NWA for their great website), but the ECV is nowhere to be found. Is this normal?

I've never had an ECV related to a fare/schedule change, but when I've received them for VDB compensation, they've posted within a day or two. I guess I wouldn't wait too long because it should really be part of the overall transaction, in my view.

not sure if my experience will help but here it is
I had two award tickets rather than an ECV departing MSY on Sept. 2.
The CSR put the miles back in my account while I waited on the phone. She said it would take 1-2 billing cycles for the taxes to be posted back to my credit card but, in reality, this money has already been returned to my credit card account and I can see the credit there when I log in online.
So my experience would lead me to expect quick and courteous action. However, there could be procedural reasons I don't know about, which could cause it to take longer for the ECV to post than for a credit card refund or miles refund?
