cancelled flight question
I was booked on a flight from LGA-MSP-LAS on 1/7/05. I was upgraded to FC for LGA-MSP earlier than the 24 hour window for Silver elites. On 1/6/05 I was checking my itinerary, on nwa.com, to see if I was upgraded on MSP-LAS, and noticed that LGA-MSP was listed as CANCELLED. I phoned CS and found that I was moved to flight 1199 a direct LGA-DTW-LAS and was put in FC for the whole trip
. During my phone call I asked why I hadn't been notified; their response was that they phoned me. I did not receive a message on my answering machine. Looking at my caller ID device, I did see a call.
[I saw my upgrade on nwa.com for my original flight, and they called me the next day, but I had to press some key on my phone to retrieve that message--I assume the cancelled flight required the same input.]
After 1199 departed I found an e-mail,. notifying me of the change...this seems like a screwy system.

Did you at least receive an e-mail?
This story is a testament to the motto that you should always reconfirm your itins before leaving for the airport.

Three items
1. They got you from lag-las in FC in about the same time period. This should meet 99% of people expectations.
2. They did notify to by phone and email. Even if they did not woudl you have been that much out fo wack?
3. You should always check your flights 4-6 hours before going to the airport (by phone otr online).
