Hey, maybe our legendary Harp playing capt. can come up with a new riff and tune along the lines of a "I got them R class conspiracy complainer blues, dont know what to, the flight is showing p2f2, and the conspirators are coming unglued" good place for some harp bending between riffs perhaps, may be the appropriate key for the harp would be C, D, or Eb?
I quit carrying my harp as to many of the TSA agents, overseas security people mistak it for something you do not want to be carrying.

Has anyone gotten the announcement this month that the April World Traveler magazine has an error? I got it twice last week.
Basically, the promo they run every month where you need to find five "globe" symbols and mail in the card with what pages you found them on has an error this month. Only four globes appear in the magazine. I'm assuming the announcement was scripted, however, as it came out exactly the same way on both flights I heard it on. I wonder if I'll hear it today -BWI-MSP-SEA - or if they put the May magazines on the planes already.

I think "Stace" is pulling your respective legs.

From the text of "Stace"'s first post, "Stace" cannot POSSIBLY be serious. Read it more closely, I think you'll see the sarcasm.

I have to add a moment that was not on a flight but still was an interesting interaction.
18 years or so ago -- n my second time behind the stick of a Cessna 172 -- I was waiting for a NW 727 to takeoff first. I met the Captain inside the terminal and he gave me a couple of pointers about dealing with wind resistance. After the 727 took off, it was my turn and I successfuly used the advice I had just been given. The NW captain radioed me and said, "Nice takeoff. Now it's Miller time."

NWA deviations:
"Please pretend to pay attention to the cabin staff as they demonstrate the safety equipment"
different flight...
"This aircraft is designed to land on water one time. In the event of it doing so there is a lifejacket under your seat."

Looks like our harmonica-playing captain's been "upgraded" again, this time to the heavy metal.... he piloted our A330-300 AMS-MSP last week. I hadn't read of any sightings of him in recent years, so as I settled into 4J at Schiphol and the golden tones of a Hohner Blues Harp came over the PA, I had to chuckle to myself.
Rather than make a new post I bumped this one; check out Post #9. Hard to believe it's been five years since R class upgrades were introduced. In the fullness of time, it seems to me the whole R class implementation was a tempest in a teacup. It's caused some upgrades to be sweated more than others, added complexity and reduced transparency, but in the end it wasn't the "death of the WorldPerks programme as we know it," as some predicted... the sky did not fall. At least, that's my perspective (in 8 years as an elite I've missed something like 3 upgrades on NW metal).
