We went over there for a few hours - visited the Malmohus Castle, walked around the town center, had lunch, and went back to Copenhagen. Honestly, we didn't have a ton of time to really do it justice.
It's definitely a quiet town. It took us a while to find a restaurant actually open for lunch and we were the only diners there. It was a nice day, we enjoyed the walk, there is a lot of history at the castle from Renaissance times to WWII, and I'm sure there are other fun things to do there. But if you have only a short time in Copenhagen, I wouldn't say it's a must-do.
Honestly, it was the train ride itself that made us want to go. That was sort of fascinating...looking out the window and seeing nothing but water...
