Earn hotel points on incidentals at Strawberry hotels?

Earn hotel points on incidentals at Strawberry hotels?
We bought a meal and some drinks at the Comfort Hotel CPH so I emailed Strawberry the receipts and cc statement lines to try to get the points for the spend credited to my account.
They replied saying you can only earn points on hotel stays and not other items.
I thought it was standard for hotels to let you earn on other spend? Could I try to credit these items to Choice Privileges instead as a workaround to earn points there?

Choice Privileges doesn’t award points for stays at Strawberry/Nordic Choice hotels. Nor does the Choice US program award points for incidentals incurred at the Strawberry/Nordic Choice hotel properties.
Strawberry/Nordic Choice awards points in its own program for the incidental charges of additional/rollaway bedding on stays at Strawberry/Nordic Choice hotels.
