The restaurant's Saturday afternoon dessert buffet, The Chocolate Bar, is back from its regular summertime break for a 15th year of all-you-can-eat sweets. Served from noon to 3 PM, it costs $23 per adult and $12.50 per child aged five to twelve. The chocolate buffet might be back, but the hotel is now called the Langham Hotel.

And a rather nice hotel it is, too. Was there last weekend.

The chocolate is also available as part of a Sunday jazz brunch offering - a kind of upscale all-you-can-eat affair priced at around $50. Feeling delicate, I steered clear of the chocolate stuff but the other food was great and the bucket-sized glasses of iced water were most useful Although the hotel is in the business zone, and hence quiet at weekends, it is not far from the tourist areas and a nice place to relax and binge-eat over the Sunday papers.

I've been thinking of doing this sometime when I'm feeling particularly indulgent. Is it worth it?

The Langham Hotel's Chocolate Bar at Cafe Fleuri gears up for its 18th season. This year, chocoholics can gorge not only on the vast selection of white-, milk- and dark-chocolate cakes, tarts, candies, puddings, cookies and more, but also on chocolate-laced savory dishes and beverages (both spiked and virgin). Open every Saturday from noon to 3 PM starting September 9th; unlimited sampling costs $28 per adult and $14 per child.
