getting to BOS early
For those Logan airport experts, I'd appreciate any input! I've looked into this a bit but have come up short.
I have a Saturday 6:30am flight out of Logan. I was wondering if there are cheaper options to get to BOS from Harvard Square than a taxi (seems like it'll run $40+).
The only shared van shuttle service I found doesn't run between 2am and 6am. And the T starts running around 5:15am, which would put me in to Logan around 6am, I'd imagine. Is that cutting it too close for a Saturday morning? (I would not have checked luggage and would check in online, obviously.)
Thanks!

Yeah, it's cutting it quite close, even assuming the red line is running
on schedule. I don't really know about shared van options, but you
could conceivably save a few bucks by taking your taxi to South
Station and hopping the Silver Line at 0535, getting to the airport
about 0550.

Thanks for your suggestion! I think I'll probably take a cab to get to the airport earlier, as it shouldn't be that much more expensive anyway.
Any suggestions on which route to tell the taxi driver to keep the fare reasonable? Turnpike to Ted Williams tunnel?
Thanks!

From Harvard Square, have them take Cambridge Street to 93 to the Callahan Tunnel. A straight shot and a breeze at that time of day.

Thanks for your help!
I was looking at the Boston Globe article (mentioned in this post) to guess the route. I suppose that's the easiest for someone driving his/her own car but not the cheapest/easiest taxi route!
Too bad the T doesn't run all night. I guess there's not demand like in NYC.
